Revolutionary Warfare
- Troops would stand in lines and proceed to shoot at the enemy
- Muskets and bayonets used when troops would rush at each other head-on

Guerilla Warfare
- Informal fighting consisting of hit and run tactics
- Hiding behind cover and ambushing enemy
- First used in civil war
- Used to defeat larger enemies

Trench Warfare
- Used in Western Front (WWI) and Pacific Theater (WWII)
- Dug trenches to hold a line of defense
- Had troops rush over the trench into no mans land which was very ineffective and resulted in large loss of life
- Stalemates were common since neither side would gain territory after long battles
Unrestricted Submarine Warfare
- Germans used U-Boat Submarines to sink all ships in their enemies waters without warning
- Civilians were killed using this tactic and the US had to enter into WWI
- Sinking of Lusitania was caused by German U-Boat: major factor in US involvement in WWII
Inventions
Machine Guns- Allowed troops to rapidly fire hundreds of bullets per minute without leaving the trenches and risking lives, but resulted in minimalistic killing in a short period of time

Poison Gas- Semi-effective method of catching the enemy by surprise with toxic gas that killed slowly

- Equipped of up to twelve .50 caliber machine guns mounted on turrets
- Range was from 3,700-4,500 miles
- Carried 20,000 pounds of bombs

- Weighed about 22,000 lbs.
- Capable only of destroying only an enemy bunker or submarine base
